She made her acting debut as Young Sa Jin-jin, an idol turned actress adored by many, in the 2017 romantic comedy TV series, Children of the 20th Century.
Kang Mi-na brought to life the character of Jeom Soon-yi, the daughter of Sun Ok-nam, in the 2018 romantic fantasy-comedy television series, Tale of Fairy. Her fellow castmates included Moon Chae-won, Yoon Hyun-min, Seo Ji-hoon, and Jeon Soo-jin.
In 2018, she made her first film appearance by playing the role of Kim Hyun-sun, Kim Kyu-soon’s sister, in the action web-film, Dokgo Rewind, in which she co-starred alongside Oh Se-hun, Jo Byung-gyu, and Ahn Bo-hyun.
She has been a part of the MBC program Show! Music Core for which she won the 2018 MBC Entertainment Award in the “Rookie Award – Music & Talk” category.
One of Kang Mi-na’s high school classmates was NCT‘s Mark Lee.
She has enjoyed the Harry Potter series.
